Jillian's Visit: Day Five
On Sunday, we went to church, which I enjoyed and I hope Jillian did too; it was neat introducing her to what our church is like (hope to see yours soon, Jill!). We went to the Hoch's for lunch and then went back up to Green Bluff. One of the main reasons to go up there was so that Jillian (and us, let's be honest) could taste the famous pumpkin donuts. We were not alone in this endeavor. This is us waiting in line. We waited for 35 minutes. Completely worth it. People watching and talking to each other filled up the time.
There were caramel apples too but I feel like you could get one anywhere. Maybe we missed out?
I set the self-timer to take five pictures of us enjoying the donuts... here are the results:
We arrived back to the car, where Carson had decided to rest. He didn't even move... just slept back there until we got back to Spokane and stopped by Safeway for some pie crust.
We made apple crumb pie - Molly's amazing recipe.
Then we worked on the project we'd been planning... we made signs for our homes.
