We went up to Victorian Christmas in Thomasville, Georgia for the first time! Friends of ours from church mentioned that they'd always wanted to go, so we joined them for a fun and festive evening! Thomasville is about 25 miles north of Tallahassee and it has a much cuter downtown that was very Christmassy. It had cooled down to about 65 degrees from about 80 earlier that day (we are having a really mild December so far) so people were bundled up, but more for the fact that they knew they were doing something Christmassy than because warmth was needed.
The streets were closed to cars and so there were people everywhere walking around, going in shops and enjoying food and snacks sold on tables in the street by local businesses and lots of local churches. We had fried Oreos made by a church and shrimp and grits from a local restaurant.
It was a really fun night and I enjoyed the conversation on the way there and back, as well as the Christmassy feel in Thomasville, and even the "chill" (aka absence of hot hot sunshine) in the evening.
