pictures!

Alrighty, here are pictures. I have around 500 (yes, really *ducks head*) so I had to dig around. I think these give a pretty good showcase of the trip. Enjoy!
On the way up, we went through McDonalds, got gas, took pictures, counted mileage between South of the Border signs, stopped at the Virginia border just for picture and got ice pops.
We look super tired here... but I liked this one.
Home from Friday-Tuesday. I called it home actually. It's very cozy.
Metro cards! I loved the metro... so much fun!
Supreme Court building (closed on the weekends :( )
Library of Congress is gorgeous... wish I could've taken better pictures
We referenced this map a lot!
The Capitol with springy flowers
The Capitol up close
We're all about nutrition... bought hot dogs from a street vendor
The White House! (I had no idea that the popular view of the White House is this side, the back...)
We ran into Abraham Lincoln at Madame Tussouds... the man looks good for his age!
National Archives building... I recognized it because it's where the gala is held in National Treasure...
Magna Carta ('twas exciting to see something that old!)
Washington Monument... had to lay on the ground to get this shot :)
About a thousand of our best friends showed up with their kites on the grass in front of the Washington Monument for the Cherry Blossom Festival
WWII Memorial was pretty cool, but it was hard to get a good pic
South Carolina!
Mr. Lincoln was just all OVER the place this weekend!
The very familiar shot of the Washington Monument and reflecting pool, from the Lincoln
Sunday night we went over to the Urbina's for dinner (they're old friends of my mom)
After dinner, we made a much needed grocery store run!
Monday night we went back to DC for the cherry blossoms: Me, Erin, Brooke, Cilla and Molly
It was nice to have a picture of us taken further than arm's length
The Jefferson Memorial
Starbucks in Chinatown
Fuddruckers in Chinatown (supposedly the good restaurants are in Chinatown, who knew?):
Erin, Cilla, Levi, Brooke, Me, Josh
WWII Memorial at night :)
Our shadows on the back of the Lincoln memorial
Jumping on the Lincoln
More pics from Monday: On the metro, Brooke and Mollybeing silly with a lamppost and an umbrella, Cilla and I with the tree, and Brooke and Erin
This was the April Fool's Day joke on Brooke... they also tied water bottles to the back of the car with string but they fell off in the parking lot :)
