Carson's Trip to Salzburg (July)

Well, this is a few months old, but Carson went to Salzburg for a week at the beginning of July. He left on a Sunday morning and got back at 4am the following Saturday. While he was gone, I went to Paris with Jaime, and the day after he returned, we went to Scotland. A week after that, we packed up and came back to the States. So it was a busy time, and I never got the chance to get Carson's pictures from him, and then I forgot to do anything with them.

The group was small, and Carson really enjoyed the company of the others who studied with him. They were under the instruction of Kristen de Troyer, and Carson says that it was one of the best decisions he's made, going to do this. We went to Salzburg last August, and really thought the city was so beautiful, so I'm really glad that Carson got the chance to explore it and the surrounding area more closely. I don't necessarily know details of all the places he went, so here are just a bunch of pictures!

Swarovski Kristallwelten

Our Innsbruck Cards included admission to several places, including Swarovski Kristallwelten (Crystal World). We took a bus (also included in the card) about 20 minutes away. It was a beautiful ride as we were flanked by the Alps on either side.

Inside, things were pretty sparkly.

The glass slipper from the Cinderella movie from a few years ago.

Outside, there was a winter wonderland. I think they were supposed to be clouds, but they looked like wintery, glittery trees.

We finished off the evening with dinner at Vapiano and headed to bed rather early. We had a very early train to catch the next morning, so we tried to get as much rest in as possible.
