Mom and Dad meet Berlin

On day 3 of our trip, I woke up at 5 in the morning, and this was the view from our hotel window.

Thankfully, I went back to sleep. Carson and Mom got up early and went out to visit the memorial site at Dachau, while Dad and I finished packing up, ate a slower breakfast, and then went to walk around Munich for a bit.
We decided to walk around a Saturn electronics store, but they didn't open until 10, so we stepped into St. Michael's church across the street. What a beautiful church!

We walked all over and stopped in the Hauptbahnhof (train station) to check out our potential food options for later that day. We were going to be boarding a bus headed to Berlin and knew we'd need to eat along the way, so we hunted for food but didn't buy anything.

Here's our hotel as we walked back! We had one of those open windows.

Mom and Carson got back shortly after we did, and we all made the trip to the train station for food, and then past it a little ways to the bus station to board the FlixBus.

On our way out of Munich, we passed BMW Welt (welt = world), the headquarters of BMW.

The bus stopped in Hirschberg for an hour long break. We'd all already eaten, not knowing there was a long break, so we walked around the general store that was there and enjoyed some ice cream. They also had some big animal statues, so we took advantage of the photo ops.

We arrived to the Berlin bus station that evening and made our way to public transportation that would eventually land us in Adenauerplatz, where we stayed. The hotel had this sort of sketchy looking elevator.

This four-person room had a bed and a sofa bed and it was in a much quieter location than our hotel from the night before.

We decided to head out to Alexanderplatz to find dinner and navigated there on the S-Bahn.

I think this is really neat - it's a clock that tells the time everywhere in the world!

We had dinner at Delores, a burrito place. I had the avocado burrito bowl and if I could eat that everyday, I absolutely would. It was delicious, and I don't think I've really had black beans since I've been here!

It was a late night for us! We got back to the hotel, showered, and went to sleep.
